INTRO:

Oh, the evening started with such promise.  I went to Coventry, watched 4 games.  They were fantastic.  I never drank a drop.  I was good.  I had a lot to do.  Then something went awry.

Donini deck 2.0.

Crap.

So....here's the deal.  I have a 9:00am game.  Its a "stay alive" game so I'm not going to stay up until 3am to get this stuff done.  No game reviews.  No "if', "then" and "else" on all the playoff eventualities.  I have taken off Monday from work because I'll have about 15 hours of writing and stats to catch everything up.  In the mean time, I will continue to tweet all game scores as they happen and you can find that by clicking the Twitter Feed link above.  And I have the current standings after Friday's games right below.

Good luck to everyone on Saturday!

STANDINGS

Okay, screw it.  I can't sleep.

POOL C:  The Blues Brothers play their final game against the Hurtin' Units Saturday.  If the Blues Brothers win they will pass the Tap Masters for 1st in the pool, at least temporarily but at that point no one else will be able to get more than 5 points.  If they lose, the Hurtin' Units can pass them with 2 wins and they will be the only team that can beat the Tap Masters.  The Brew Jays can't catch them.  The Dog Catchers can catch them in points with a win their last game but can not win the plus/minus.  They are a minus 1 and the best that they could do is plus 6.  The Tap Masters are locked in for Sunday no mater what they don in their final game.

POOL B: The Gruesome Devils and the Dislocated Joints play each other tomorrow and whoever wins that game will get their 3rd win.  The winner of that game will also get the automatic berth to the quarters on Sunday.  The loser could still get the other spot, but that will be up to the Dodge City Rounders.  If the Rounders win their game against the Dusty Cleats they will get the second spot.  If they lose, it will come down to plus minus.  Meanwhile, if either the Dusty Cleats or Red Dogs win their first games on Saturday; when they go head-to-head in their final game the winner will almost certainly find themselves in an elimination game on Saturday afternoon.

POOL A:  This pool could have three 3 and 1 teams.  The Draft Kings, who were seemingly home and cooled out have been caught by math.  If they lose by 7 to the Beer Bros and the Hot Tub Woody's beat the Grisslies by 7, the Draft Kings would slip to 3rd in the pool.  We could also have a situation where the Draft Kings are 4-0 and the Beer Bros., Hot Tub woody's and Grisslies are 2-2.  Oh, it gets weirder.  If the Draft Kings beat the Beer Bros. by 7 and the Hot Tub Woody's lose to the Grisslies by 7 and the Grisslies beat the Rusty Rebels by 7, we would see the Draft Kings and Grisslies getting the free pass to Sunday and the Woody's and Beer Bros heading to elimination.  Having fun yet?

So what do we know?  The Tap Master are in.  The Draft Kings are in.  And that's about it.

Have fun Saturday!!!
