Post Round Robin STATs
Another WoW in doing these stats. 176 our of our 180 players got at bats during the round robin. considering that one of the 4 that didn't play had a broken hand and never missed one of his team's games; I can say pretty confidently that our attendance is awesome!
We had 45 players survive the round robin with a .750 average or better. The list is led by Matt Foerster who was perfect at 16/16. Now you might be thinking...."oh, good for you Matt, that's nice to see". Sure, why not? Be happy for him! But you might not know that Matty's playoff stats are becoming almost as predictable as Scotty Barton winning batting titles. Last year Matt was a whopping 29/31 with the Brew Jays as they marched to the finals. And now over the last two season he's 45/47 .957 for September. Twice ain't a fluke.
We had 93 players see increases in averages over the regular season. Part of that is because it was only a 4 game sample size, but we also had people 'sticking' really well. In previous years runs seemed to be a premium in September. Not so much this year. Here is your list, congrats all.
We had 14 gents hit double digits in runs scored, led by Steve Ross, Scott Peters and The Beechey who all topped out at 12. We had 35 guys who averaged 2 runs or more a game through the round robin portion. Great job gang!
FULL PLAYOFFs.
This includes all games played. Its kind of slanted to those who lasted longer, but that's okay. To the victors go the spoils.
Yep, still Matt. 51 for his last 54 playoff ABs. The top 25 is a who's who of vets, rookies, infielders, outfielders and virtually every rating level.
Way to go Laurier! The ABs were limited, but he played in 3 or 4 games. Much like above, this is a real cross section of the league.
This is of course weighted to people who played beyond the round robin. In fact there's not too many people on it who only played the 4 round robin games.
Off to the Saturday Games.
