BONUS BLOG: Individual Stats Week 14

Congratulations first to the Dusty Cleats.  According to my calculations (?) they can no longer be caught for 1st place.  Cheers to Chris, Dane and the boys!!!

These are the updated standings from week 15 based on the following results. ALL STATs AND STANDINGS ARE UNOFFICIAL!!!

Grisslies vs. Dodge City Rounders
Dislocated Joints vs. Torn Ligaments
Hurtin' Units vs. Rusty Rebels
Brew Jays vs. Beer Bros.
Hot Tub Woody's vs. Red Dogs
Brew Jays vs. Wild
Dog Catchers vs. Torn Ligaments
Dodge City Rounders vs. Banshees
Brew Jays vs. Lucky Stiffs
Hot Tub Woody's vs. Dusty Cleats

And as far as the magic number goes for second place...it just got a little more interesting with the Lucky Stiffs loss and the Brew Jays win.  We now have 6 teams very much alive for second place and none are teetering on elimination at this point.  All will still be in the race regardless of next weeks game results.  So we are guaranteed to head into the last 2 weeks of the year without second place locked down.

INDIVIDUAL STATS
Welcome to the "individual" performance stats page!  You'll find just about everyone here one way or another.

Remember this is based on play through week 14 which ended last week, August 5th.  For the sake of making it manageable, I'm considering a multi-hit game to be a game with 3 or more hits.  ALSO, I'm considering any time on base to be a hit.

The first view is a new one, a look at multi hit games; here are all the players who have had six hit games this season and the number of times they've done it:

No surprises in this list, its the usual suspects, Barton, McCarron, Robinson, Anicete, Kahuna, Del Greco, Vienneau...Whoa...Del Greco???  Seriously, how many chickens were sacrificed for that one?  I'm just kidding.  Considering I don't have a 5 hit game to my record, I shouldn't really be taking shots.

This is a pretty rare feat, having only happened 22 times and more than 30% by 3 guys.  For perspective sake, those three gentlemen, Scott, Rob and Gord represent 1.5% of the league.  Pretty cool.  But then I'm a geek.  (which is better than a dork).

Now, 5 hit games.

This list was cut off at 2, obviously.  There were another 52 people who have had one 5 hit game to their credit, none of them is me in case you wondered.  One of these days.

Now those with 4 hit games which seems to be the most frequent occurrence.

Pielusch and Glecof are out front in this category.  There are an additional 26 players with 5 occurrence, 18 with 4, 31 with 3, 35 with 2 and 31 with 1.

And finally 3 hit games:

Now...the grand finale in this category...every one's Multi-hit games (3 and above) added together for total occurrences.  This one is cut off at 13.

This list is quite a cast of characters.  From the reliable top 25 types like Barton, Ross, Pendlebury, et al; to the the ridiculously good looking but not necessarily top 25 types like me and Kolsen.

MORE TRADITIONAL STATS

I've done these all before.  The Year To Date (YTD) OBA, YTD Hits and YTD At Bats.  This is followed by Last 10 games (for each team, not person - if you missed a game you're counted for 9) OBA, Hits and At Bats; and finally OBA, Hits and At Bats over the last 5 games.  What can I say, I like looking for trends.

What is missing is the data on runs.  I was already a couple of weeks behind when my computer bit the dust a few weeks back and I'm not about to go back and input the data from 140 game sheets.  So, I'm sorry to report that the tracking of runs is officially over for 2011.  Hopefully with a fully staffed "STAT bureau" next year we'll be able to do a lot more!  Fingers crossed on the funding!!! (I wonder if Jamie reads this?)

OBA - 3 Views.

HITs - 3 Views.

AT Bats - 3 Views.
